Do you need an #Autism support group?

DiggGoogle+PinterestLinkedInRedditShare/Bookmark

I wanted to let everyone know that the Autism Help Forums are officially back online.  I rebuilt the forums entirely from scratch and I think that they are better than ever.

Click here to enter and register for the Autism Help Forums

You will have to register but that only takes a minutes and you can register with Facebook.

Stop on by and introduce yourself in the Meet and Greet forum.  Let’s get these forums rocking once again and provide each other with support. Help me rebuild the community and be part of something truly amazing.

I know it’s hard to be one of the first posters, so I started a few topics in the Ice Breakers forum.

You can find the Autism Help Forums either by clicking the link at the top of this post or the Autism Help Forums logo to the right.

If you have any problems with registration, please let me know so I can fix it.

There are 2 easy ways to access the Autism Help Forums via your mobile device.

1) The Autism Help app This is the OFFICIAL Autism Help app (android only)

2) The TapaTalk app (android and iOS) I only have links for the android app. Check the Apple app store for this app.

For all the latest information on the #Autism Help Forums, follow us on Twitter (@MyAutismHelp).

Post your favorite funny video

DiggGoogle+PinterestLinkedInRedditShare/Bookmark

I honestly have nothing against Apple’s products, just the business practices of the company behind them.

I stumbled across this video while on YouTube and thought it was pretty funny. Regardless of how you feel abot Apple or their products, this is some funny stuff.

Sometimes as special needs parents, we need to have a laugh or two. It helps to reduce stress, break up the day and it burns calories. Now who doesn’t want to burn some calories? Be honest.

Anyway, I thought we could give each other a laugh buy sharing funny YouTube videos. All you have to do is copy and paste the url into the comments and it will show up.

This is my favorite video for today.

Today’s topic is how to make tooth brushing easier on both you and your sensory sensitive child.

If you would please read the article and use the buttons at the bottom to share the article on Facebook, Twitter or Google etc, my family would be very grateful.

Please leave feedback in the comments over there as well.

Lost and Tired and CNN

DiggGoogle+PinterestLinkedInRedditShare/Bookmark

For those that missed it, I wrote an article for CNN this past April. Since I have a ton of new readers, I thought I would share it again.

I wrote this for #Autism Awareness month 2012. I really hope to continue doing things like this because it reaches such a large audience and #Autism awareness is spread.

Can a dog have PICA?

DiggGoogle+PinterestLinkedInRedditShare/Bookmark

I’ll spare you the pictures but Bella has been puking up sticks all morning.  That’s right, sticks.

Bella eats everything she can fit into her mouth.  She has tons of toys and gets plenty of food each day.

I have found Crayola poop outside, on more than one occasion. She loves to eat crayons.

We do our best to keep her from doing this stuff but when she goes outside,  she literally rips branches off of the small trees and bushes.

I’ve no previous experience with Boxers.  Is this normal?

A weekend without stress

DiggGoogle+PinterestLinkedInRedditShare/Bookmark

Gavin has been gone for only a few hours but the overall stress level in the house is decreased. The boys are more relaxed and went to bed without any problems.

I hate the fact that this is actually the case but it is what it is.

I plan on making the best of this weekend and at the same time,  trying not to feel guilty…
