Do you ever wake up in the morning and within a few minutes, know exactly how the rest of the day is going to go? Of course you do.  I would image that this happens to everyone at some point in time.

I’m having one of these days already. 

Elliott got to school late and Emmett has been screaming all morning. My bluetooth headset took a dump and I can’t seem to keep my eye open. 

What direction is this day going in? Downhill…..

Elliott’s tree nut allergy journey: Working with the school

Lizze spoke with the school this morning about Elliott‘s new diagnosis. They we’re very cooperative, as I knew they would be.  They also supported keeping him home until we get everything figured out.

There is paperwork and they need their own set, as in two, epipens. These would stay at the school at all times.

We have to call the doctor about this because we only have two and those are for home.

We spoke with the pharmacy and it’s $400+ for two more pens.  Insurance will only cover 1 script per month.  I’m not sure at the moment, how we’re gonna work this out. 

I think the immunologist will have to fight for it, otherwise, how is he going to return to school? I mean, we can’t give them his epipens from home because what happens if something happens and he needs them? We also can’t send him to school without them for the same reason.

This is one of those rock and a hard place type of thing.

From bad to worse

This week became much more complicated.  I’m sick.  That’s right,  I’m sick. This is the worst thing that could have happened this week.

Fortunately,  I think one of my parents are going to take Gavin to his infusion in the morning. 

I think I’m gonna spend the day wishing I was dead. Lizze is still sick and not showing non signs of improvement.  It’s gonna be a really,  really long week.

I could use your continued thoughts and prayers.

My three boys are literally all over the place. I’m just gonna say it,  they are driving me crazy.  While that you need a short trip,  it’s still an unpleasant one.

They just seem to have this endless supply of energy.  It’s very reminiscent of the Energizer Bunny.

Sometimes when I wake up in the morning,  I just know how the day is going to go.

For example,  this morning I woke up to Elliott running into our room yelling “emergency, emergency.  Emmett just jumped on Gavin‘s testicles”. Poor Gavin,  that’s not a really good way to start the day. 

He took it like a champ and when he was able to speak again,  he told Emmett it was okay.  Sorry buddy,  I know badly that hurts but I’m really proud of how you handled it.

I’m on the fast train to insanity

This has been the longest weekend I can remember in quite some time. No one is listening and Gavin is really struggling.

I’m hoping to avoid losing my mind so my amazing wife is encouraging me to go donate a few more miles to #Fit4Autism.  So I think that’s what I’m going to do. I missed the past 2 days so I need to make up for that anyway.

My goal will be to do 5.20 miles this afternoon.  I’m gonna walk with my parents and they are picking me up since we are still stuck with a flat tire.

This will definitely be one of those times that I really have to focus on why I’m doing this,  because I really don’t feel like working out today. 

I’m gonna do it for my boys.  :-)

How do you know when it going to be one of those days?

Well, today I knew it was going to be a bad day because when I took the dogs out,  this is what I found.

Luckily,  the screw is smack dab in the middle of a tread.  It should easily be plugged but this wasn’t on my already overloaded to do list for today.
