Let’s be honest, most of us have experienced moments with our Autistic child that were embarrassing.  Being embarrassed is a natural  human response and nothing to be ashamed of. 

I thought that we could share our embarrassing moments. 

Chances are we could all use a laugh.  I’ll share mine with you first.

This involves Gavin and a trip to the local Chinese buffet.  When we were being seated by the hostess, Gavin said, in a really loud voice, “hey you all look exactly the same”. 

I wanted to crawl into a hole and die.

I haven’t done one of these in a while.  However, while at Dr. Pattie’s office yesterday I snapped this picture.  I was taking pictures of Elliott and Emmett having a noodle fight.

If you look in the background, you’ll see Gavin doing God only knows what. 

It’s pretty funny because I didn’t even notice this until after the fact.  I think Gavin was pretending to run away scared.

Honestly, I don’t care what he was actually doing because he was having fun and wasn’t hurting anyone.

I thought you all might get a smile out of this one. I know I did.  🙂

Nominate your favorite #Autism related song

I thought this would be really cool.  There are songs out there that were seemingly written for the Autism community and while they may not have intended that, it still works.

Here’s what I thought we could do. 

Copy and paste the YouTube url of the song you think is the best, most inspirational Autism related song, into the LiveFyre comment box.  You can probably accomplish the same thing via the Google+ comment box as well.

I’ll do my best to tally up all the votes and take the most popular entries and let the community vote on there favorite.  If your song is already posted, simply like the post or +1 it in the case of Google+.

In the end there can only be one. 

I’ll leave this open for a few days, depending on the community response.

My “Dear John Letter” to Windows 8

I really tried to like Windows 8.  This is the first Windows release that I didn’t work on as a technical tester for Microsoft. 

Windows 8 is just not user friendly, especially on a non-touch device.  Perhaps I would have a different opinion if I had a Surface Pro but I don’t.  Windows 8 just makes my computer to cumbersome. 

I’ve decided to break up with Windows 8 and get back together with my old flame, Windows 7. 🙂

Jamming to Phineas and Ferb Music

Emmett and I are dancing to some Phineas and Ferb music. I have a membership to Google Play music unlimited and they have all the Phineas and Ferb music FREE.

Smurfs in a blender… Aren’t you curious

I took Emmett to Menchie’s today.  It was something he wanted for his birthday but we couldn’t do it at the time. 

This is what he made.  I imagine this is what it would look like to put Smurfs in a blender.  Ironically, it’s actually Smurf frozen yogurt.
