It’s cancer

DiggGoogle+PinterestLinkedInRedditShare/Bookmark

I’ve been trying to keep your all up to speed on my Grandfather’s condition.  He had a tumor removed from his bladder and then had to have some internal bleeding addressed.

The other day they believe he had a mini stroke (TIA) but was recovering.

The call came in today and it’s cancer

At this point we don’t know a whole lot more than that because we haven’t spoken with the doctor yet. He’s 87 years old and I’m not sure how aggressively you treat someone of that age.  I’m also not sure if he will even agree to treatment.

I’m asking thay you please keep him in your thoughts and prayers.  Please keep my family in your thoughts and prayers.

We would all really appreciate it.

Thank you……..  :’(

Our trip to the Cleveland Clinic for today is canceled. Find out why

DiggGoogle+PinterestLinkedInRedditShare/Bookmark

Gavin has an appointment at the Cleveland Clinic. This one is for Urology and it’s purpose is to address his bladder control issues.

Dr.  Moodley, his autonomic specialist, wants to make sure that there isn’t a physical problem with his bladder.

The most likely cause of this bladder control problem is the autonomic dysfunction. However, we do need to rule everything else out first. From a psychological perspective, this type of issue is very common with Reactive Attachment Disorder kids and is a willful act.

Our goal as this point is to simply rule out a physical problem with his bladder.

Anyway, I made the appointments and put them in the calendar. I say appointments because he actually has 3 of them.  He’s having an xray and ultrasound done prior to his actual appointment with the Urologist.  That makes 3 separate appointments.
My Mom was going to watch the boys today so Lizze and I could go.

I even sold my phone to help pay for fuel.

This afternoon, I went to double check the times and when I logged into his MyChart, it turns out his appointments aren’t until the 24th.

Not sure how I screwed that up but I’m really glad we found out before making the drive as that would have been a bummer.

As it stands now, our Friday is wide open to whatever adventure life decides to hurl at us.
